Kenapa?

Dalam blog ni, aku banyak post dalam bahasa inggeris (siapa yang baca semua atau hampir semua mesti perasan). Kenapa? Bukan sebab aku nak menunjuk aku ni pandai atau bijak sangat berbahasa inggeris. Padahal aku rasa tahap aku dalam bahasa antarabangsa ni masih lagi dalam peringkat sederhana.

Perbendaharaan kata aku bukannya banyak sangat (aku rasa terlampau sedikit nak banding dengan jumlah semua perkataan yang wujud, tak sampai 1% pun agaknya). Tatabahasa pun acapkali salah bila buat ayat (perkara biasa).

Sekian.

Simon's Cat

Whenever I'm surfing the internet, one of my must do routine is exploring the videos on YouTube. I would click on random videos and from there I'll go with the flow to wherever the site takes me. Sometimes, I'll stumble upon great videos and I'll instantly subscribe that particular user (I'm very fastidious when I'm subscribing to someone which means if I did, the videos are really to my liking).

Among the tons of videos that I found, this is one of my favourite because it has one of my most adored being on earth in it. The videos are a non-related short film series called Simon's Cat. It features a cat belonged to an owner named Simon, thus the title. The cat is very adorable and I really like how the cat sounded in the series. I found this short masterpiece a few years back and still loving it until today.

The creator of this video, draws the series himself with a small team and post the videos on YouTube within a few months interval. What makes the series well-liked by others is how the cat portrayed in these videos are very similar to how a real life cat would act with a little bit of twist in each videos. It's not like today's other videos where the cat are made to be human-like.

Below is one of the Simon's Cat video that I'm very fond of. Enjoy!

Every single time that I watch this, it soothes my heart. Makes me want to have a pet cat. One last thing, this is for my friend whom is on a cat craze right now. I hope you would come to like it as much as I do.

Not So Short Review: The Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Part 2

Apparently this is not my review because I haven't had chance to watch it (yeah again), but I find a complete review for it. Read if you haven't watch it (like me!)

Read it only if you're interested. I don't want you to start bashing on the movie just because you don't like it. Team Edward!  =P

She’s earned it – and, let’s face it, so have we. Having moped and Goth’d her way through three instalments of the Twilight saga, trying to choose between two mutant swains – sensitive vampire Edward (Robert Pattinson) or shirtless wolf-boy Jacob (Taylor Lautner) – then sunk into outright masochism in Breaking Dawn, Part 1, where love-making turned her into a mass of bruises and her unborn baby nearly tore out her innards, Bella (Kristen Stewart) finally gets empowered in the fifth (and last) chapter, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 2. Or, as they should’ve called it, ‘The Twilight Saga: I Am Woman, Hear Me Roar’.
Bella’s now a vampire – and not just a vampire, but the strongest vampire in the house. She proves the point by arm-wrestling macho blood-sucker Emmett, then pulverises a rock with her bare hands – just for fun! She goes hunting, and barely restrains herself from feeding on a hapless rock-climber (she compromises on a mountain lion). She’s stronger than Edward, her husband, who’s now little more than a decorative presence; his main role is to stand back and grin crookedly at her awesomeness, and of course offer himself for endless sex. Jacob has it even worse, his mere smell now odious to the undead Bella. All he can do is hang out on the sofa and watch as Bella raises weird little Renesmee, her child with Edward – but first he gets beaten up by his erstwhile beloved for calling the child ‘Nessie’ (“You nicknamed my daughter after the Loch Ness monster!”) and also having “imprinted” on her, described by disgusted Bella as “some erotic wolfy thing”. That’s right folks, an “erotic wolfy thing” on a newborn baby. You bad dog!
Actually, the “imprinting” is almost irrelevant. One might wonder why the franchise makes such a big deal of this (it was the cliffhanger twist in Breaking Dawn, Part 1) when all it really means is that Jacob is devoted to the child, and willing to stay for her sake; it’s really just a way of keeping him around after Bella makes her choice of suitor. Nothing is done with it, nor is Jacob much of a character anymore – his only function is to act as a getaway wolf in the final battle, on which more later.
That’s not the only thing one might wonder about in this flimsy movie (I assume the book made more sense). Trouble starts when another vampire glimpses Renesmee from a distance and thinks she’s an “immortal child”, duly informing the Volturi who decide to wipe out Edward and his family – but it’s not clear why this random vampire thinks Renesmee is immortal, or why the Volturi accept her opinion without any proof. Much of the film is then taken up with Edward’s clan seeking “witnesses” from all over the world (including a pair of old-school Transylvanian vampires) who’ll testify to Renesmee’s true nature. It’s not clear why this testimony will make any difference, or why they don’t just call up the vampire who made the initial accusation. Alas, the Volturi are adamant, and it all ends in a battle where it transpires the way to kill a vampire is to tear off his/her head, then set fire to the headless body. It’s not clear why you have to burn the torso after cutting off the head. Will the head magically jump back on? If so, does it ever attach itself backwards, so you get vampires shuffling around with their heads pointing in the wrong direction?
The battle itself is cool, however, black-clad figures in the snow à la 30 Days of Night, vampires and werewolves intent on tearing each other’s heads off (the violence is intense, albeit bloodless). “Yo-o-oung Bel-la, immortality becomes you,” purrs Michael Sheen as the chief Volturi, then gives an alarming high-pitched giggle. Fun stuff happens on the sidelines: vampires tell war stories, while Edward thanks his mentor Carlisle for “this extraordinary life”. Yet it must be said, again, that the plotting is flimsy. Renesmee isn’t really immortal, say Bella and her crew. Yes, you’re right, this has all been a big misunderstanding, reply the Volturi – but never mind, we’ll kill you anyway. Maybe it worked better in the book.
And what of Bella’s wonderful empowerment? Does she lead the troops in battle, taking control of her destiny? Well, not really. Every vampire has some kind of special power, and Bella’s power (it turns out) is to be a “shield”. She’s a good shield, emitting a force-field that blocks other vampires’ weapons, and she uses her powers to defend herself and others. So much for Bella the take-charge tomboy!
No surprise that the change in our heroine is short-lived: every franchise has a guiding sensibility – and Twilight is a franchise built on fear, specifically fear of sex. Bella and Edward have been ‘shields’ from the very beginning, passive-aggressively blocking each other’s urges (the first three instalments prized “self-control”, then the fourth one revealed sex as painful and bruising). These characters have always been repressed – but maybe their daughter Renesmee will be different in future episodes, which you just know are in the pipeline. “She’s going to be around for a long time, isn’t she?” asks Jacob at the end. “A very long time,” comes the ominous reply. That’s why they call it a saga.

Yeah, yeah. I know it's damn long. But you have been warned.

Short Review: Skyfall

This is a review of the latest sequel of James Bond series which actually never had chance to watch it yet I find it very exciting by just reading other people's review. So here's a bit of sharing and caring, enjoy ;)

Source: screenrant

Skyfall, the latest installment in the long-running saga based on Ian Fleming’s James Bond character, forces the British action-hero to dig into his own past if he intends to overcome a dangerous new foe. Director Sam Mendes (American Beauty and Jarhead) ditches the inter-connected “Quantum” narrative of the last two Bond films, Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace, in favor of an entirely new storyline that plays on larger connections to the overarching character canon and sets the stage for a more “refined” version of 007.

Skyfall‘s few shortcomings are not enough to derail enjoyment of the film. Scene to scene, moment to moment, the movie offers one of the richest and most interesting Bond adventures – even if the core premise isn’t quite as sharp as the various characters scrambling around the screen. For every awkward misstep in Skyfall, Mendes provides several standout moments – resulting in an especially entertaining and provocative 007 adventure.

Another interesting thing I find about Skyfall is the soundtrack, powerfully sung by Adele. Here's a video for you :)

Primadonna

Primadonna girl, yeah

All I ever wanted was the world
I can't help that I need it all
The primadonna life, the rise and fall
You say that I'm kinda difficult
But it's always someone else's fault
Got you wrapped around my finger, babe
You can count on me to misbehave

Primadonna girl,
Would you do anything for me?
Buy a big diamond ring for me?
Would you get down on your knees for me?
Pop the pretty question right now baby
Beauty queen of the silver screen
Living life like I'm in a dream
I know I've got a big ego
I really don't know why it's such a big deal, though
I'm sad to the core, core, core
Everything is a chore, chore, chore
When you give I want more, more, more
I wanna be adored

(Chrous)
Cause I'm a primadonna girl, yeah
All I ever wanted was the world
I can't help that I need it all
The primadonna life, the rise and fall
You say that I'm kinda difficult
But it's always someone else's fault
Got you wrapped around my finger, babe
You can count on me to misbehave

Primadonna girl
Fill the void up with Celluloid
Take a picture, I'm with the boys
Get what I want cause I asked for it
Not because I'm really that deserving of it
I'm living life like I'm in a play
In the limelight I want to stay
I know I've got a big ego

I really don't know why it's such a big deal, though

Going up, going down, down, down
Anything for the crown, crown, crown
With the lights dimming down, down, down
I spin around

(Chrous x 2)
Cause I'm a primadonna girl, yeah
All I ever wanted was the world
I can't help that I need it all
The primadonna life, the rise and fall
You say that I'm kinda difficult
But it's always someone else's fault
Got you wrapped around my finger, babe

Toy Story 3

This movie is an animation movie that really put a smile on my face when I watch it. It's a movie suitable for the whole family to watch together. Here are a few videos related to the movie series that features one of the character in Toy Story 3, Ken. It's suitable for all the bachelors out there.

The fourth installment is scheduled to be released in 2015. Waiting patiently but eagerly on the movie.

Favourite Movie: Rush Hour

The Rush Hour film series is a series of Hong Kong-American martial arts, action and comedy movie starring Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker. The main plot centers around a pair of police detectives: a Hong Kong police inspector and an American LAPD detective who go on a series of misadventures often involving corrupt crime figures. So far, there has been three installments of the movies with the last one released on 2006.

The movie is seriously hilarious and made me laugh throughout the whole series. The film series are not really suitable for children though with some obscenity during the whole three movies but it's just a small bit here and there (no worries).

Below is one of my favourite scene that came from Rush Hour 3. Enjoy!

Favourite Movie: Avengers

This movie was released earlier this year and it has been one of my favorite movie ever since the first time I watched it. I still remember the first time I watched the movie in the cinema. My whole body was trembling in excitement and my heart was thumping from the thrill of watching the movie. It's just so damn good. I totally fell in love with the movie.

The movie first started with Loki obtaining the Tesseract from the S.H.I.E.L.D organization to use it for the sake of his ambition of conquering planet earth using the Chitauri army. Then, to retrieve the Tesseract back from Loki, the director of S.H.I.E.L.D, Nick Fury, decided to gather a team of superheroes consisting of The Hulk, Thor, Captain America and Iron Man(my most favorite. But these people doesn't get along with each other which create difficulties at first to fend off Loki's attack. But like all superheroes movies, they definitely get through all the hurdles that lies oh their path and eventually save the planet at the end of the day.

I really like this movie a lot. Well, not only because Robert Downey, Jr. is one of it's cast, but the movie as a whole is very well made. Even though the plot are somewhat very typical like other Hollywood movie, I just simply like it. I also like the humor inserted in this movie and I just laugh so hard whenever it's a funny scene. The most memorable scene would have to be when The Hulk easily flipped Loki side to side smashing him on the ground. That was super hilarious as I never saw that coming.

If you haven't watch this movie, I advice you to do so. It's a very entertaining watch for me. Lastly, Robert Downey, Jr. FTW!

Addicted

Recently, my family just got an ipad. And let me tell you, I'm crazy about playing the ipad's games. Therefore I'm currently having an ipad games craze. But' it's not just me, but this craze has infected my whole siblings. We can't seem to turn away from the merely sight of an ipad.

Even though I said I'm playing games, I never let myself to be playing games made for children and babies. To give you the most perfect example, I don't play games like Angry Bird. Period. Those kind of games just don't bring me any sense of fulfillment as playing it mostly rely on your luck rather than testing your skills.

Seriously, I'm getting hooked at all sorts of games and playing them non-stop while I really should be studying for my final exam. I even fought with my younger brother to get my turn to play the games (our fighting doesn't involve any sorts of violence).

This is not my first experience getting addicted on playing games. The same thing happened when we got ourselves a PSP. The whole family is crazy about it ( with the exception of my parents, of course). Especially on the car racing game, Need For Speed. We would compete with each other to see whose the best among us. Not to brag about it, but it's always me.

Like that time, this addiction to will fade over time. By next year, I probably wouldn't be so involved with it as I am now. That's just how things are with people like me. It's in the nature of being human.
